Kate Baldwin, Program
Manager Kate joined Rural Roots as a program manager in July 2007. She replaces Sara Foster in overseeing membership, marketing and educational programming.
The
Baldwin attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate degree in journalism. She also focused her studies on physical anthropology, French, and urban planning.
“I believe that people want to support healthy systems but they don’t know where to start,” she said.
“The
actions, choices, and lifestyles of our farmers and ranchers are a testament
to better systems,”
Baldwin now lives just outside of Moscow at a beautiful 100-acre homestead on Paradise Ridge. When she isn't tending to the chickens, she works as a freelance writer for regional magazines and periodicals. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking elaborate meals, rock climbing, volunteering, and ballroom dancing.
