Patsy Kelley

I am excited to be on the Board of Rural Roots because I think that the central Idaho, high elevation region needs to be represented. I have educational and organization skills from previous employment, as well as food service and agricultural experience. I have co-managed the McCall Farmers’ Market for 14 years, while also being a vendor. It is possible to grow a considerable variety of food here (just requires more effort and diligence)! I maintain a half acre market garden and was in the food service industry for fourteen years. I currently grow as much of my own vegetables as possible. Food and gardening are a work of “creative joy”. My passion is to get others in this area to “grow their own” – perhaps through help from Rural Roots. We need more young farmers! The conferences I’ve attended have been so inspiring – I want others to be similarly inspired!
