Celebrate the Harvest with Rural Roots!

Save the date to spend an afternoon with your fellow farmers, ranchers and neighbors in our new version of the Rural Roots annual meeting.
Moscow, ID - Sept. 9, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with host Affinity Farm
Reardan, WA - Sept. 16, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with host Rocky Ridge Ranch
Boise, ID - Sept. 30, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with host Morning Owl Farm
Idaho Falls, ID - Winter 2008, Date TBA
Each location will host a potluck where you can meet and network with other Rural Roots members and supporters of local food and sustainable agriculture. Plan to show off your favorite recipe or your best dish by bringing something made with local produce or ingredients from your own farm.

Please ensure your own comfort by bringing: a non-alcoholic beverage, place service with silverware, and a chair or seat. In addition to networking and eating great food, we will be discussing upcoming Rural Roots programming and the future of local and sustainable agriculture in your region.

Before the day ends, you will have the chance to join the raffle for free passes to our spring workshops. We're pleased to announce 16 workshops will be held throughout Washington and Idaho. At your request, workshop topics will include food safety, managing farm liability, and direct marketing.

Enter the raffle for workshop tickets by bringing a fruit pie to share. Once we fill ourselves with these home-made treats and draw the raffle winners, the remaining pies will be auctioned off as a small fundraiser to support Rural Roots.

We look forward to seeing you! We also welcome you to invite a friend or neighbor that is interested in learning more about our mission.

It will really help us to know if you and your guests are coming! Please RSVP by calling (208) 883-3462 or e-mailing Kate and we'll send you directions to the farm and answer any questions you have.
