Each of the farms, ranches and businesses listed in Fresh from the Field and More Fresh from the Field are dedicated to bringing you fresh, local products that are produced using sustainable methods. In the guide, you will find food produced using a variety of sustainable agriculture techniques, such as rotational grazing, cover cropping, integrated pest management, and organic methods. Fresh From the Field is a directory of Inland Northwest farms, ranches and value-added businesses that direct market sustainable agricultural products. It includes a Regional Map with the approximate location of each farm, ranch, or business and is indexed by farm and product. The guide is intended to increase local purchasing by environmentally and health conscious consumers by connecting them with local, sustainable, family farmers.   

Join Rural Roots today!  Listing in Fresh From the Field: Rural Roots' Guide to Sustainably Grown Local Food is a benefit of membership at the farm/ranch and organization levels.  Membership is $35 per year for a farm or ranch and $60 for a cooperative business/ organization. For individuals not listing in the Buying Guide, membership is only $25. Become part of the Rural Roots Community, and if you direct market your products, think about listing in the 2007 Buying Guide!! Watch for applications available on the website in early spring 2007.

Year round, you may also list your farm or business on our on-line Farm Fresh Food Directory available at www.ruralroots.org/farmfreshfood/ (site may take a couple of minutes to load). Please contact our office for details.
